Privacy policy

1. What we collect

• Order details: name, email, phone, shipping and billing address, items bought, and order history. Payment details are handled by Shopify and its payment partners; we never see your full card number.
• Account and communication: your email or phone number if you sign up for offers, and anything you send us (support messages, reviews, photos).
• Device and browsing data: IP address, browser, device type, pages viewed, products added to your bag, and how you reached us (for example from an ad or a creator's link), collected through cookies, pixels and similar technologies.

2. How we use it

• To process and deliver orders, handle returns and exchanges, and provide customer service.
• To send order updates and, if you opted in, marketing emails or texts (including your welcome discount).
• To run, secure and improve the Site, and prevent fraud.
• To measure and improve our advertising, including showing you relevant ads on platforms such as Meta (Facebook, Instagram) and TikTok.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

3. Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information for money. We share it only with service providers who help us run the store, including: Shopify (store and checkout); payment providers (Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Afterpay, Klarna, card processors); shipping carriers; email/SMS providers such as Klaviyo; reviews providers such as Judge.me; analytics and advertising partners such as Google, Meta and TikTok; and our hosting provider. We may also share information if required by law, to protect our rights, or as part of a sale or merger of the business.

4. Cookies and advertising

We and our partners use cookies and pixels to keep your bag working, remember your preferences, understand how the Site is used and measure our ads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and adjust ad preferences in your Meta, Google and TikTok accounts. Sharing data with advertising partners for targeted ads may count as a "sale" or "sharing" under some US state laws. You can opt out by emailing hello@thephonepurse.com; we also honour Global Privacy Control signals where required.

5. Marketing messages

You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any email, and from texts by replying STOP. Message and data rates may apply to texts.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including California and other US states with privacy laws, and the EU/UK/Switzerland), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising. To make a request, email hello@thephonepurse.com. We'll verify your request and respond within the time required by law. We won't discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

7. How long we keep it

We keep order information as long as needed to fulfil orders and meet tax and legal requirements, and marketing data until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

8. Security

We use reasonable safeguards, and payments are processed on Shopify's PCI-compliant checkout. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

9. International transfers

Our service providers may process your information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

10. Children

The Site is not intended for children under 13 (under 16 in the EU/UK), and we don't knowingly collect their information.

11. Changes

We may update this policy and will post the new version here with the date it changed.
